The process of formation and development
12 December 2008: Sacombank was one of the first commercial joint stock banks to be opened in Vientiane, Laos.
11 November 2011: Sacombank opened its Talat Sao Service Unit, creating significant opportunities for growth up.
15 August 2013: Sacombank opened its headquarters building at No. 044 Hengboun Road, Haisok Village, Chanthabuly District, Vientiane Capital, Lao PDR. It was the first spacious and sizeable head office building of Vietnam Bank at that time. This event marked a turning point in Sacombank’s confidence and led it to make greater advancements in its foreign operations.
12 December 2015: Sacombank Branch in Lao becomes Saigon Thuong Tin Lao Bank Limited (Sacombank Lao) officially. This is a new milestone of Sacombank Lao. Sacombank Lao established an advanced management model working on a regular basis (referred to as the Permanent Committee of the Board of Management) to give direct instructions and supervision, institutionalize managerial principles step by step and control all aspects of the Bank’s operations.
The financial strength and management of Sacombank Laos, under the guidance of Sacombank Vietnam, has enabled the offering of modern banking products and services. Sacombank Lao is a pioneer in offering not only the usual consumer loans, business loans, guarantee, deposits, and international remittance but also provides special services such as the Vietnam-Laos –Cambodia rapid remittance at reasonable fee and simple procedures, reducing the risk & the use of cash among Indochina countries.
 
16 May 2016: Upgrading Hatsady Unit transaction point into Vientiane Capital Branch located at 175/02 Sailom Rd, Hatsady Village, Chanthabury District, Vientiane Capital. This event marks our first step in implementation our strategy to be as mentioned above.
 
10 June 2016: Opening Champasak Branch located at 11-12-13 Salakhieo – Dongchong Road, Phonekoung Village, Pakse District, Champasak Province, the largest commercial, population area in the center of Pakse.
 
03 March 2017: Moved Talad Sao service unit and renamed it to That Luang service unit, located at Kamphengmeuang Rd, That Luang Tai village, Xaysettha district, Vientiane. From 04 April 2017, this service unit has been upgrated to That Luang branch. This branch is located one of the crowed population area of the city.
 
03 August 2017: Sacombank Savannakhet branch was soft opened and  official open on 29th September 2017. The branch is located at Sisavangvong Rd, Kaisone Phomvihan District, Savannakhet province. It’s the first bank among Vietnamese bank open branch in Savannakhet.

15 February 2019: Sacombank Lao restructured their organization and open Lanexang branch. Lanexang is the biggest branch and locates right at Head Quarter building (1st – 2nd floor).
 
These branches offer all financial products such as corporate & individual deposit by Kip Laos, Bath Thai and other currency, L/C, business loans, consumer loans, money transfer, international payment, guarantee, factoring, payroll, ATM, currency exchange, remittance payment ...
 
Nearly nine years of operations, Sacombank Lao has provided Vietnamese enterprises, investors and residents in Laos with many products and services that linked both nations. It allows SMEs to borrow at reasonable interest rates and loans can be extended to a maximum of seven years.
 
Sacombank Lao continues to focus on the retail market segment, opening new transaction service points in some other locations such as: Champasak, Savanakhet, Khammuon, Luang Prabang, and Bokeo as long-term business strategy.
